Wye Valley is getting a facelift!

Here’s some important information for your convenience and safety.

What You Need to Know

Start date: January 31st, with a completion date of early April
Renovation will be Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Week of January 24 – the week prior to the start of renovation
Cantata will provide laundry service until the renovation is complete and washer and dryers are back in place (Lorraine Cole will provide details on how Cantata will provide this service to you)
The activity room will be moved to apartment 208 until the end of renovation
Visitor parking will be moved to the north parking lot – designated spots will be at the walkway that leads to Wye Valley patio and kitchen entrance

Week of January 31 – First week of renovation
Residents
Starting on Monday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., all 1st floor residents need to call reception at #5258 and request an escort to the elevators, dining room or outside.
Starting on Monday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at residents on floors 2 thru 4 need to call reception for an escort if they are coming down to the 1st floor.
Residents will not need to be escorted after 3:30 p.m., but we ask they you are careful walking around on the 1st floor area that is under construction
Meal service will continue as usual at 4:30 p.m. each day
Temporary Activity Room – Apt. 208 will be open 24/7
You will be able to pick up your mail in the small dining room or it will be hand delivered to you at dinner time by a member of the reception staff
The temporary reception area will be located in the small dining room

Visitors
During the first week of renovation, we are asking visitors to hold off on visiting until the end of the week or wait to visit at the start of the 2nd week.
During scheduled work time of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., visitors will need to enter the door by the kitchen – you will need to push the Ring button next to the door so a member of the reception staff can let you into the building
Visitors coming in after 5:30 PM Monday thru Friday and anytime on the weekend will be able to enter the Wey Valley lobby area and be buzzed in by the resident. We ask they you are careful walking to the elevator or to a resident’s room on the 1st floor.
Visitors will have designated parking in the North parking lot at the walkway leading to the Wye Valley patio and kitchen entrance

Our goal is to make sure all Wye Valley residents can continue their dining and social activities during the renovation process.
There may be certain times where we have to restrict resident movement e.g. when floor is being removed or during the installation of floor. We do ask that if all possible you avoid the main lobby area as this is where a lot of renovation is taking place.
At the conclusion of the first week we will provide another update on our progress with the renovation.
